Transparent sterile solution of 3-O-deacylated monophosphoryl lipid A and method for producing the same |
abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare an antigen composed of an antigen conjugated with 3-O-deacylated monophosphoryl lipid A (abbreviated as MPL in this specification) and an appropriate carrier, the particle size of MPL is “small” Provides a clear sterile solution of 3-O-deacylated monophosphoryl lipid A and a method for its preparation to provide a vaccine composition that does not exceed 120 nm. A clear sterile solution of 3-O-deacylated monophosphoryl lipid A capable of sterile filtration through a 0.22 μm membrane, as well as 3-O-deacylated monophosphoryl lipid A is suspended in water and then A method for producing a transparent sterile solution of 3-O-deacylated monophosphoryl lipid A, which comprises subjecting the obtained suspension to ultrasonic treatment.
