abstract An image processing apparatus capable of realizing signal processing corresponding to a plurality of observation lights with a small circuit scale is provided. A light source device 3 can emit a plurality of illumination lights, can illuminate a subject 8 via a light guide fiber 14 of a scope 2 corresponding to a selected observation mode, and a processor 4 is selected. Corresponding to the observation mode, by controlling the load control circuit 46, the FPGA 39 can construct a color emphasis circuit, a noise removal circuit, etc. in a programmable manner by using the circuit data stored in the data ROM 47. The signal processing corresponding to the above is realized with a small circuit scale, and a moving image can be displayed by a signal processing system that passes through the delay 38 bypassing the FPGA 39 while the circuit is configured by the FPGA 39.
