Artificial hemoglobin variant, pharmaceutical composition, plasmid, artificial hemoglobin variant and artificial human hemoglobin variant, and method for producing artificial hemoglobin |
abstract |
Non-naturally occurring hemoglobin variants rHb (βN108Q) and rHb (βL105W) were found, exhibiting lower oxygen affinity and higher cooperativity in oxygen binding than native hemoglobin. RHb (βN108Q) also showed enhanced stability to autoxidation. Hemoglobin variants are preferably produced by recombinant DNA technology. Such hemoglobin variants can be used as components in blood substitutes and hemoglobin therapy. |
