titleOfInvention | Method for producing terephthalic acid diester |
abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a method for esterifying terephthalic acid and a monohydric alcohol, in which the concentration of terephthalic acid in a reaction solution can be improved and the esterification reaction can be performed efficiently. . An esterification reaction is performed from terephthalic acid and a monohydric alcohol to produce a terephthalic acid diester. The esterification reaction is carried out in the presence of an organic solvent in which the solubility of terephthalic acid is higher than that of a monohydric alcohol. A method for producing a terephthalic acid diester, wherein the infinite dilution activity coefficient (γ value) of terephthalic acid in an organic solvent is a value smaller than the γ value of terephthalic acid in a monohydric alcohol. Is preferred. [Selection diagram] None |
