PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of producing spherical biodegradable resin particles having a uniform particle size distribution. SOLUTION: A biodegradable resin component (A) and a water-soluble auxiliary component (B) are kneaded to prepare a dispersion, and the auxiliary component (B) is eluted from the dispersion to obtain a biodegradable resin. Produce resin particles. The biodegradable resin component (A) may be composed of a polyester resin such as an aliphatic polyester resin, a polyether resin, a vinyl alcohol resin, a cellulose derivative, or the like. It may be composed of an oligosaccharide (B 1 ) composed of a saccharide and a water-soluble plasticizing component (B 2 ) composed of a saccharide or a sugar alcohol for plasticizing the oligosaccharide. The ratio (weight ratio) between the biodegradable resin component (A) and the auxiliary component (B) may be 55/45 to 1/99, and the oligosaccharide (B 1 ) and the plasticizing component (B 2) ) May be 99/1 to 50/50.
