A resin composition in which an oxide compound (filler) typified by a fine silica compound capable of realizing improvement in rigidity and dimensional stability without sacrificing transparency and impact strength is mixed and dispersed in a base resin. An object, a filler, and a method for producing the resin composition are provided. An oxidized compound is surface-treated with a surface modifier containing at least one hydrophobic group of an alkyl group, an allyl group, and an aryl group, and an amino group, an ether group, an ester group, a nitro group, a cyano group, and The oxidized compound is subjected to a surface treatment with a surface modifier containing at least a polar group having an epoxy group to form the hydrophobic group and the polar group on the surface of the oxidized compound. Next, the oxidizing compound is blended in the thermoplastic resin to obtain a resin composition in which the oxidizing compound is uniformly dispersed and strongly bonded to the functional groups of the thermoplastic resin.
