titleOfInvention Organic compound decomposition material and environmental purification method using the same
abstract An organic compound decomposer which has a high processing ability for organic compounds, particularly gaseous highly volatile organic compounds, is low in cost and hardly affects the environment, and provides an environmental purification method using the same. As an organic compound decomposing material, a reducing agent such as sodium sulfite and sodium hydrogen sulfite and a metal oxide such as iron oxide and titanium oxide are contained, and water is added to the total amount of the reducing agent and the metal oxide. Those containing in the range of 10 to 250% by weight are used. [Effect] It is suitable for decomposing gaseous or mist-like organic compounds, and has excellent effect persistence. In addition, since it is low in cost and hardly affects the environment, it is useful for purification of soil, groundwater, air and the like contaminated with organic compounds.
