An object of the present invention is to improve the affinity between the surface of a carbon substrate and a coating agent, and to provide a substrate with an increased amount of immobilized biological substances. The present invention provides a substrate in which the surface of a carbon substrate is halogenated to improve the affinity between the substrate surface and a coating agent. Preferably, the biochemical substance fixing substrate, wherein the halogen is fluorine or chlorine. Examples of the carbon used for the substrate material include amorphous carbon, amorphous carbon, graphite, diamond, and the like. Preferably, the biochemical substance fixing substrate, wherein the carbon is amorphous carbon. |
