abstract |
(57) [Problem] To provide an alkaline storage battery having a high capacity and excellent charge / discharge characteristics even when used at a high temperature at a low price. Another object of the present invention is to provide a low-cost and efficient method for producing a positive electrode active material for an alkaline storage battery having excellent filling properties. SOLUTION: A solid solution particle mainly composed of nickel hydroxide coated with cobalt hydroxide, at least one oxide particle selected from yttrium, scandium, lanthanoid and calcium, and an alkaline aqueous solution are mixed by stirring. After the surface of the particles is wetted with an aqueous alkali solution, the particles are subjected to a heat treatment while stirring and mixing in the presence of oxygen, and the drying is conducted. |
