titleOfInvention | Image forming method and image forming apparatus |
abstract | (57) An object of the present invention is to solve the problems in the conventional cleaning technique and to provide an image forming method having excellent cleaning performance, and to form an image using the image forming method. It is to provide a device. An image forming method includes forming a toner image on a electrophotographic photosensitive member using a developer containing a polymerized toner, and removing a residual toner after transferring the toner image to a transfer material by a cleaning device. The cleaning device includes a conductive or semiconductive brush roll, and a cleaning blade disposed downstream of the brush roll in the moving direction of the electrophotographic photosensitive member, and the brush roll has a bias having a polarity opposite to that of toner. An image forming method in which a voltage is applied to remove the toner remaining on the electrophotographic photosensitive member by controlling the toner removal rate of the brush roll to 30 to 70%. |
