(57) Abstract: An alcohol is dehydrogenated to produce a corresponding carbonyl compound. SOLUTION: A ruthenium complex in which a ligand containing a phosphorus atom and a ketone compound or a diketone compound not containing a halogen atom are bonded to ruthenium by an alcohol dehydrogenation reaction, wherein one ruthenium atom On the other hand, a catalyst in which two ligands each containing a phosphorus atom are bonded as a phosphorus atom is used as a catalyst. |
