abstract | (57) [Summary]nThe present invention is useful for the production of superabsorbent polymers, two phases, i.e., i) a continuous oil phase and ii) an aqueous monomer solution prior to polymerization and water soluble or swellable in water after polymerization, or Content of an inner phase, having a dispersed aqueous phase containing a polyelectrolyte in a very slightly cross-linked form, wherein polymerization takes place in the dispersed aqueous phase and the dispersed aqueous phase contains a high concentration of polyelectrolyte A polyelectrolyte emulsion with a high content. The invention also relates to methods of preparing the emulsions and methods of inverting these emulsions to form a film or other pattern of the superabsorbent polymer. Also contemplated are absorbent structures containing SAP films or other patterns prepared according to the present invention. |
