(57) Abstract: A method of forming a through-via in a laminated substrate by providing a polymer light absorbing layer on the exposed bottom surface of the laminated substrate. Through vias are laser drilled into the substrate from the top of the substrate through the substrate to the bottom of the substrate. The light absorbing layer formed on the bottom surface of the substrate is subsequently removed. |
