abstract (57) Abstract: An integrated microfluidic device comprising at least a concentration channel (10) and a main electrophoresis channel (12) is provided. In the integrated device of the present invention, the concentration channel and the main electrophoresis channel are positioned so that the unnecessary fluid flows through the outlet (6) in a direction away from the main electrophoresis channel. The device of the present invention can be used in a variety of electrophoretic applications, such as clinical assays, high throughput screening of genomes and pharmaceutical applications, point-of-care in vitro diagnostics, molecular genetics Used in analysis and nucleic acid diagnostics, cell separation, and generally biological research.
