(57) [Problem] To provide a liquid crystal layer on a long support with a coating solution containing a solvent and a liquid crystal compound so as to have a dry film thickness of 5 μm or less. A method for producing an optical compensation film, comprising fixing an orientation of a liquid crystal compound and forming an optically anisotropic layer. SOLUTION: The present invention provides a method for producing an optical compensation film which shows good contrast without unevenness or variation and has high productivity, and an optical compensation film, a polarizing plate, and a liquid crystal display produced using the same. |
