abstract | (57) [Problem] To provide a positive electrode capable of manufacturing a nickel-hydrogen secondary battery having excellent large-current discharge characteristics using a current-collecting substrate that can be manufactured at a low price. SOLUTION: In a positive electrode for a nickel-hydrogen secondary battery, a positive electrode mixture containing a positive electrode active material, a binder and nickel flakes is carried on a current collecting substrate having an opening and a burr portion formed on the surface. The nickel flakes are dispersed in the positive electrode mixture at an aspect ratio of 5-20 in the ratio of major axis / minor axis and inclined at an angle of 30-90 ° with respect to the surface of the current collecting substrate. This is a positive electrode of a nickel-hydrogen secondary battery. The positive electrode is manufactured by applying a magnetic field in a direction perpendicular to the surface of the current collecting substrate when applying the paste of the positive electrode mixture to the current collecting substrate. |
