(57) [Problem] To provide a heat mode-compatible negative image recording material capable of forming a lithographic printing plate excellent in printing durability by suppressing ablation in laser scanning. SOLUTION: (A) A polymer compound insoluble in water and soluble in an alkaline aqueous solution, containing a structural unit represented by the general formula (1) or (2) in an amount of 30 mol% or more of the polymer composition; A light-heat converting agent, and (C) a compound capable of generating radicals by heat-mode exposure to light having a wavelength that can be absorbed by the light-to-heat converting agent, and more preferably a radical polymerizable compound (D). It is characterized in that an image can be recorded by exposure. In the following formula, A, B, and X represent an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom, and —N (R 13 ) —. L and M are R 1 to R 12 represent a divalent organic group and a monovalent organic group. Y represents an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom, —N (R 14 ) —, or a phenylene group. Embedded image |
