PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel ultraviolet absorbent for an ink jet recording sheet which can maintain good printing characteristics even after long-term storage and has high resolution and high ink absorption without deteriorating the resolution of a printer. I do. SOLUTION: As an ultraviolet absorber for an ink jet recording sheet, 20 to 80% by mass of at least one ultraviolet absorbing monomer (a) selected from a benzophenone ultraviolet absorbing monomer and a benzotriazole ultraviolet absorbing monomer is copolymerized with (a). Possible vinyl monomer (b) 8 A copolymer obtained by polymerizing 0 to 20% by mass as an essential component is used. |
