(57) [Problem] To provide a light emitting diode which can emit light of various intermediate tones with a single light emitting element chip, is small and inexpensive, and consumes less current. SOLUTION: In a light emitting diode 31 in which a light emitting element chip 41 is mounted on an upper surface of a substrate 32 on which electrodes 33 and 34 are formed, and an upper surface side of the light emitting element chip 41 is sealed with a resin material 55. Fluorescent particles 5 made of yttrium aluminum garnet (YAG) in resin material 55 2 and dye particles 53 made of a dye that absorbs a part of the wavelength of the light from the light emitting element chip 41 and the wavelength converted by the fluorescent particles 52. |
