(57) [Summary]nEpoxydoamine dendrimers produced by repeating and stepwise addition reactions of epoxides comprising functional groups useful for conversion to amino groups, and further converting those groups to primary amino groups. The amino-terminated dendrimer is reacted with (2,3-epoxypropoxy) methacrylate, monoepoxide and / or monoisocyanate. Methacrylate-terminated dendrimers can be polymerized through the use of redox and / or photoinitiators. The resulting dendrimers show a very low volumetric shrinkage of less than about 5% by volume from the starting material. |
