(57) [Problem] To provide a photoelectric conversion element excellent in energy conversion efficiency and a photovoltaic cell using the same. In particular, a photoelectric conversion element having excellent durability and high energy conversion efficiency and a photovoltaic cell using the same are provided. SOLUTION: In a photoelectric conversion device having a conductive fine particle layer and a charge transfer layer sensitized by a conductive support and a dye provided thereon, a semiconductor layer is further provided between the semiconductor fine particle layer and the conductive support. Is provided. Further, a molten salt electrolyte or an inorganic hole transport material is used for the charge transfer layer. |
