(57) [Problem] To provide a negative electrode material which can be a negative electrode active material having a large charge / discharge capacity, a high charge / discharge efficiency, a flat discharge curve, and excellent charge / discharge cycle characteristics. SOLUTION: A lithium secondary battery characterized in that at least a part of a surface of a carbon material capable of absorbing and releasing lithium is coated with an amorphous metal compound made of a metal which can be alloyed with lithium. Adopt negative electrode material for secondary battery. |
