| abstract |
(57) [Summary] A detachable fastening component used as a complementary detachable fastening component, having a base component having a reference fastening surface and a non-fastening surface. The fastening surface is provided with a pattern of fastening elements and includes an interior area provided with fastening elements without a cover. At about the periphery of the inner region there is a peripheral region provided with a covering fastening element. The peripheral area of the covering fastening element may be rectangular or non-rectangular annular. The fastening element may be a hook or a loop. The fastening part may be incorporated into the molded part, with the molding material entering the fastening element in the main area only minimally. The perimeter cover forms a gasket seal with the mold in several different configurations to prevent the molding compound from penetrating into the interior area of the uncoated fastening element. The peripheral cover does not need to be removed when using fasteners. This is because the uncoated internal fastening element functions normally. A method of manufacturing a fastening part on an assembly manufacturing line and a method of molding the fastening part into a product are also disclosed. |
