abstract | (57) [Summary] (Problems corrected) [PROBLEMS] To provide a method for producing cyclic phenol sulfide from inexpensive raw materials in high yield. SOLUTION: General formula (1) Wherein R is a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group, and a and b are 0 Or 1, m is an integer of 1 to 7 and p is an integer of 2 or more) and 0.05 g per gram equivalent of the phenol skeleton constituting the chain polyphenol sulfide.
