(57) Abstract: A method for industrially advantageously producing carboxylic acid anhydrides and aldehydes from carboxylic acids is provided. A carboxylic acid anhydride is produced by charging a carboxylic acid and acetic anhydride into a reactor using a reactor having a distillation column connected to an upper portion of the reactor, and extracting generated acetic acid from an upper portion of the distillation column.
