titleOfInvention Basic drug composition with excellent bioavailability
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition having high bioavailability in the small intestine, a test method and a use method of such a composition. SOLUTION: Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose acetate succinate (HPMCAS), cellulose acetate trimellitate (CAT), cellulose acetate phthalate (CAP), hydroxypropylcellulose acetate phthalate (HPCAP), hydroxypropylmethyl-cellulose acetate phthalate (HPMCAP) A composition comprising a basic agent, an agent that forms a zwitterion, or a salt of any of the above, mixed with a polymer selected from and methylcellulose acetate phthalate (MCAP). The compositions of the present invention comprise a basic drug, a zwitterion, or a salt thereof, and one or more of the above polymers. The present invention further provides a method of increasing the bioavailability of a basic or zwitterionic agent, comprising co-administering a basic agent, a zwitterionic agent, or a salt with one or more of the above polymers.
