abstract |
Provided is a method for producing a barium titanate powder comprising: a step of adding a water slurry of an anatase type hydrous titanium oxide, which has a BET specific surface area in the range of 200-400 m2/g and a diffraction peak at half height of a face (101) as measured by X-ray diffraction in the range of 2.3-5.0°, to a barium hydroxide aqueous solution while keeping the temperature of the solution from 80°C to boiling point under normal pressure, and reacting the barium hydroxide and hydrous titanium oxide to obtain a water slurry of a barium titanate precursor; and a step of subjecting the obtained barium titanate precursor to a hydrothermal treatment for 24 hours or more to obtain barium titanate particles. |
