abstract |
A detergent-compatible, dryer activated fabric softener composition in particulate form comprises (i) at least about 10% of a fabric softener, the said softener composition having a melting point of from about 50 DEG C to about 80 DEG C and (ii) at least 4% of a water insoluble particulate adjuvant having a particle size of more than one micron to lessen the number of undesirable visible fabric softener deposits of fabrics; the said particles having a size of from 5 to 1,500 microns. Optionally components (i) and (ii) are present as an inner core surrounded by a coating to prevent said softener from detergents wherein the said coating comprises from 2 to 30% of said particle and the said inner core comprises from 98 to 70% of said particle. |
