abstract 1434323 N-Acylated substituted piperazine and homopiperazine derivatives ICHTHYOLGES CORDES HERMANNI & CO 28 Jan 1974 [29 Jan 1973] 3784/74 HeadingC2C The invention comprises compounds of Formula (I) in which R is C 4 to C 12 alkyl, n is 1 or 2 and Ar is phenyl, or a 4-chloro-, 2,6-dichloro-, 2-chloro-6- methyl-, 2-chloro-6-butyl-, 2,6-dimethyl-, 3- trifluoromethyl-, 4-methoxy- or 4-n-octyloxyphenyl group, and pharmacuetically or therapeutically acceptable addition salts with acids. They may be prepared by reacting a piperazine or homopiperazine derivative of Formula (III) with an acid derivative, capable of N-acylation, of Formula (IV) in which R 1 is a halogen atom or a C 1 to C 3 alkoxy group, in a polar and/or apolar solvent or in a mixture of these with an aprotic solvent and in the presence of a base. They may also be prepared by reacting an N-acylated piperazine or homopiperazine derivative of Formula (V) with a halogen acetyl derivative (VI) in which R 2 is a halogen atom in a polar and/or apolar solvent or in a mixture of these with an aprotic solvent and in the presence of a base.
