This method comprises: - calculating (58) a spectral power PSPG (t) of alpha waves measured only inside a central right or left zone, the central right and left areas being areas of the patient's skull which contain, respectively, only positions C3, C5, C5h, FCC5h, CCP5h and positions C4, C6, C6h, FCC6h, CCP6h of system nomenclature 10-5, - determination (64) of a mean level NMPG the spectral power of alpha waves measured only within the right or left central zone, - the verification (70) of the following condition: PSPG (t) ≤ S1 x NMPG for at least one of the central zones, where S1 is a predetermined positive coefficient less than 0.9, and - triggering (72) the reporting of a pain felt by the patient only if the condition is verified. |
