abstract | The CO2 contained in combustion fumes is captured by carrying out, in combination, at least the following steps: a) a fuel is burned by producing combustion fumes, b) the fumes are brought into contact with an absorbent solution so as to producing CO2-depleted fumes and a CO2-charged solution; c) regenerating the CO2-charged solution in a thermal regeneration column (RE) to produce a regenerated absorbent solution and a CO2-rich gaseous effluent (5) d) said CO2-rich off-gas is cooled so as to obtain a CO2-enriched gaseous fraction which is discharged, and a liquid fraction which is introduced at the top of the regeneration column (RE) as reflux (7). In addition, at least one of the following operations is carried out in step d): i) the said gaseous effluent is cooled (C1) to an intermediate temperature so as to produce a liquid flow and a gaseous flow, and then subcooling (C2) the gaseous flow to produce said gaseous fraction and said liquid fraction, said liquid flow and said liquid fraction being collected and then introduced at the top of the regeneration column (RE) as reflux (7), ii) heating (E3) said liquid fraction by heat exchange with said gaseous effluent, iii) heating (E4) said liquid fraction or said liquid flow by heat exchange with said combustion fumes. |
