titleOfInvention Process and apparatus for eliminating acid gas using a solvent, for the purification of natural gas
abstract The process comprises a step 2 of absorption of natural gas when cold by a solvent phase, under a pressure P 2 , which delivers a purified gas 5, a step of expansion and separation of an acidic solvent phase containing hydrocarbons (lines 4, 11) under a pressure P 12 lower than the pressure P 2 in a column-heat exchanger 12 which delivers at the head a purified gaseous effluent 13 and at the bottom another solvent phase (line 17) enriched in hydrogen sulfide, and a step for regenerating the solvent phase in a distillation column 18 under a pressure P 18 at most equal to the pressure P 12 . Recovering from column 18 a gas 29 containing essentially hydrogen sulfide devoid of hydrocarbons, compatible with the charge of a Claus unit for removing H 2 S. The regenerated and hot solvent phase 20 indirectly exchanges heat with the acidic and cold solvent phase coming from the absorber 2 or from the separator 6. It is then recycled into the absorbent after being refrigerated.n n n Application to the removal of acid gases from a natural gas
