abstract The present invention relates to a set of primer pairs, comprising at least 5 pairs of primers, said pairs being chosen for the purpose of obtaining a set of DNA fragments specific for a plant variety of wheat. This set is used in a method for obtaining a genetic profile of a plant variety of wheat and in a method of discriminating wheat plant varieties by comparing the profile (s) obtained with profiles of known varieties.
