abstract | CATALYTIC COMPONENT OF TITANIUM TRICHLORIDE FOR THE POLYMERIZATION OR COPOLYMERIZATION OF A-OLEFINS. THIS TITANIUM TRICHLORIDE IS OBTAINED BY SEPARATION OF A SOLUTION OF TITANIUM TETRACHLORIDE, OF AN ETHER AND OF AN ORGANO-ALUMINUM COMPOUND IN A SOLVENT WHICH IS A MIXTURE OF SATURATED ALIPHATIC HYDROCARBIDE OR ALICYCLIC HYDROCARBIDE WITH 20 AT 70 BY VOLUME OF A HALOGENOUS AROMATIC HYDROCARBON, THE THREE REAGENTS ABOVE BEING ADDED TO THE SOLVENT AT A TEMPERATURE OF THIS NOT EXCEEDING 55C, THEN THE SOLUTION IS HEATED BETWEEN 45 AND 150C BY CARRYING OUT THIS HEATING AT TEMPORARY COOLING BELOW 40C, AND AT THE TIME OF THIS COOLING A NEW QUANTITY OF TITANIUM ETHER AND OR TETRACHLORIDE IS ADDED, THIS ADDITION AND THE TEMPORARY COOLING BEING PERFORMED TWICE OR MORE, TO OBTAIN TITANIUM TETRACHLORIDE PARTICLES OF VERY REGULAR DIAMETER, THE AVERAGE DIAMETER IS BETWEEN 10 AND 1000MICRONS. THIS TITANIUM TRICHLORIDE IS VERY ACTIVE AND IT ALLOWS POLYOLEFINS WITH HIGH STEREOSPECIFICITY, IN SEEDS OF VERY REGULAR DIAMETER. |
