abstract |
New compositions of acrylamide and glycidyl acrylate copolymers, their preparation and applications are described. These compositions can be defined as essentially consisting of: - from 50 to 99.9% by moles of units deriving from one or more monomers of acrylamide type (in particular acrylamide itself), and - from 50 to 0, 1 mol% of units derived from one or more monomers of glycidyl acrylate type (in particular glycidyl methacrylate). They can be prepared by various methods which make it possible to obtain them in the form of gels (macroscopic gels or microgels) or in the form of soluble copolymers. The products offered find advantageous applications in the petroleum industry (enhanced recovery techniques) and in the paper industry (in particular as additives "in the mass" to improve the tensile strength of paper in the wet state. ). |
