abstract The invention relates to a device, an apparatus and corresponding method for imaging an object, in particular a biological tissue, wherein the device comprises: at least one illumination unit (140, 145) configured to illuminate a region of interest (100) of an object with homogeneous illumination light configured to stimulate the region of interest (100) of the object to emit emission light, in particular fluorescence light, and patterned illumination light exhibiting a spatially varying light intensity over the region of interest (100) of the object; at least one image capturing unit (110, 120) configured to capture at least one marker light image by detecting the emission light emitted by the region of interest (100) and at least one sample light image by detecting light reflected, in particular diffusely reflected, by the region of interest (100) upon illumination with the patterned illumination light; and a processing unit configured to generate at least one corrected marker light image based on the at least one marker light image and the at least one sample light image.
