abstract | The present invention relates to a process for producing a polyoxymethylene-polyoxyalkylene block copolymer comprising the reaction of a polymeric formaldehyde compound with alkylene oxides in the presence of a double metal cyanide (DMC) catalyst and an H-functional starter substance, the theoretical molar mass of the polymeric formaldehyde compound being smaller than the theoretical Molecular weight of the H-functional starter substance, the polymeric formaldehyde compound having at least one terminal hydroxyl group, the theoretical molar mass of the H-functional starter substance being at least 500 g / mol. Here, the method according to the invention first comprises, in step (i), the preparation of a mixture i) comprising the DMC catalyst and the H-functional starter substance, followed by the addition of the polymeric formaldehyde compound to mixture (i) to form a mixture (ii) in step ( ii) and the addition of the alkylene oxide in step (iii); wherein step (ii) takes place simultaneously or before step (iii). It further relates to polyoxymethylene-polyoxyalkylene block copolymers obtainable by such a method, and to their use for the production of polyurethane polymers. |
