abstract The present invention provides a method for labeling unmethylated CpG dinucleotides within a DNA fragment, and use of the method in profiling of genomic DNA methylation. The present invention further provides modified DNA ethyltransferase enzymes and compounds which are capable of being used by the enzymes as cofactors for use in the labeling method.
