titleOfInvention Method of non-destructive inspection of flat membrane
abstract A non-destructive integrity test for membranes is provided. The retention of micro-particles is tested via direct filtration or diffusion through the membrane. Subsequently the microparticles are removed by dissolving them with an appropriate agent. As microparticles ferric hydroxide colloid particles are used, that are subsequently dissolved with hydrochloric acid. The removal can take place via chemical cleaning backwash or immersion into the cleaning liquid.
