abstract |
Described is a novel polyamide composition. It is characterized by at least one polyamide based on m-xylylenediamine and a diacid in the form of a dimeric fatty acid, and optionally further aliphatic or cycloaliphatic diamines and / or aliphatic or cycloaliphatic diacids. The proportion of m-xylylenediamine is in the range of 50-100 mol%, the proportion of dimeric fatty acid in the range of 30-100 mol%. The proportions of other aliphatic or cycloaliphatic diamines are in the range of 0-50 mol% and the proportions of other aliphatic or cycloaliphatic diacids in the range of 0-70 mol%. This generally with the proviso that complement the diamines and the diacids in each case 100 mol%. The proposed materials are particularly suitable as a polymeric plasticizer, hot melt adhesive, coating, seal or adhesion promoter. |
