titleOfInvention Composite resin composition, resin foam, and process for producing the same
abstract A composite resin composition comprising 100 parts by weight of polypropylene type resin, 0.1-50 parts by weight of organic modified clay, and 0.5-30 parts by weight of maleic anhydride modified polypropylene : A composite resin composition comprising: (A) 100 parts by weight of polypropylene type resin; (B) 0.1-50 parts by weight of organic modified clay; and (C) 0.5-30 parts by weight of maleic anhydride modified polypropylene satisfying: (1) the unreacted maleic anhydride is below the detectable limit in quantitative analysis; (2) the ratio of acid to number of polymer chains is 0.8-2.0; (3) the molecular weight distribution is 2.5 or lower; (4) the content with a molecular weight of 10,000 or lower is 0.5 wt.% or less, and (5) the limiting viscosity is 1 or higher. Independent claims are also included for (1) a resin foam made from the composition in which the average particle diameter of the clay is 150 nm or lower and there is no recognisable wide angle X ray deflection; and (2) a method for preparing the foam.
