The present invention concerns a method for identifying a biologically active compound with antiasthmatic, anti-allergic and/or immunomodulatory properties wherein it comprises the following steps: (a) contacting a TLR2 or a functional equivalent receptor with said biologically active compound, and (b) determining if said biologically active compound increases the basal activity of said TLR2 or of said equivalent. The present invention also concerns pharmaceutical compositions containing as active agent at least a TLR2 agonist. |
