abstract The present invention provides according to the first aspect thereof a human anti-β-amyloidnantibody obtained by purification from a human IgG-containing bodyfluid by Aβ-affinitynchromatography. In a second aspect the invention provides a method of purification of annanti-Aβ-amyloid antibody, said method comprising the steps of obtaining a human IgG-containingnbodyfluid, subjecting the bodyfluid obtained to an Aβ-affinity chromatography,nand recovering the purified anti-Aβ antibody from the chromatography medium. Finally theninvention provides for use of the above anti-Aβ antibody for diagnosing and/or treatingnamyloid associated diseases, especially Alzheimer's disease and for a pharmaceuticalncomposition comprising said antibody for treatment of Alzheimer's disease.
