abstract The present invention provides a biosensor whichnenables prompt quantification by facilitating introductionnof a sample solution even when the amount of the samplensolution is small and improving dissolution of reagents. Thenbiosensor comprises an insulating base plate; an electrodensystem including at least a measuring electrode and ancounter electrode formed on the base plate; a cover membernintegrated into the base plate to form a sample solutionnsupply pathway for supplying a sample solution to thenelectrode system between the cover member and the basenplate; a reaction reagent system including at least annelectron mediator and an oxidoreductase; and a carriernsupporting at least the electron mediator or thenoxidoreductase of the reaction reagent system, wherein thencarrier is partially or wholly disposed outside the samplensolution supply pathway.
