abstract |
The present invention provides a blood-compatible composition containingnan ionic complex consisting of an organic cationic compound and heparin or anderivative thereof, wherein the organic cationic compound is an ammonium or anphosophonium bound with four aliphatic alkyl groups, the four aliphatic alkylngroups having a total number of carbon atoms of 24 to 32, and has at least 2 alkylngroups having not less than 10 carbon atoms. A medical device capable of long-termnsustention of antithrombogenicity can be produced by coating the surface ofnthe medical device with the composition. |
