abstract | An electrophotographic toner is formed of anresinous composition including a binder resin and anwax (A). The wax (A) contains at least 92 wt. %nthereof of n (normal)-paraffin comprising a pluralitynof n-paraffin species having different numbers ofncarbon atoms, and provides a DSC (differentialnscanning calorimetry)-heat-absorption curve exhibitingna maximum heat-absorption peak showing a peaktopntemperature of 70 - 90 °C and a half-value width of atnmost 12 °C. As a result of the n-paraffin-richncharacteristic and the DSC-thermal characteristic, thenwax can exhibit an improved fixability-improvingneffect without showing an excessive plasticizingneffect, whereby the toner can exhibit good fixabilitynas well as good flowability and storage stability. |
