abstract |
A toner for developing an electrostatic imagenincludes a binder resin, a colorant and a wax. Thentoner shows heat-absorption characteristicsnrepresented by a DSC heat-absorption curve obtained onntemperature increase in a temperature range of 30 -n150 o C by a differential scanning colorimeter (DSC).nThe DSC heat-absorption curve shows a maximum heat-absorptionnpeak (P1) in a temperature range of 70 - 90n o C. The DSC curve also provides a differential curvenshowing a first maximum (Max1) on a lowest temperaturenside at a temperature (T1) of 50 - 65 o C, showing ansecond maximum (Max2) on a next lowest temperaturenside at a temperature (T2) of 65 - 85 o C, and showingna minimum (Min1) on a highest temperature side at antemperature (T3) of at least 95 o C. Because of thenDSC heat-absorption characteristics, the tonernexhibits excellent fixability (including anti-offsetncharacteristic) over a wide temperature range andnexcellent continuous image forming characteristic. |
