titleOfInvention | Composition which is absorbent and inhibitive of the formation of bad smells in animal litter, method for the preparation thereof and use in hygienic litter for cats |
abstract | A new composition which is absorbent and inhibitive of the formation of bad smells in absorbent hygienic litter for animals that comprises a carrier and a molecular complex is described. The carrier is a porous, granular, solid, clayish, mineral substrate with a high specific surface, with a high liquid absorption capacity. The molecular complex is a mixture of natural and/or synthetic organic compounds, some identical to natural ones, with properties inhibitive of bad smells, caused by the products of bacterial degradation of cat urine, by means of specific reactions of neutralization thereof. The molecular complex is basically retained inside the structure of the particles of the carrier, in such a way that the inhibitive activity thereof is regulated and strengthened by the physicochemical properties of the carrier. Preferably, the molecular complex is present in the composition in a conclentration of 0.02 to 2% of the total weight thereof. <IMAGE> |
