abstract |
The improved thermal recording system uses both anthermal head (66) having a layer to protect heaters (84) and anthermal recording material (A) in which a thermal recordingnlayer unit has a water content of no more than 6 wt.%, thenprotective layer of the thermal head comprising at leastnone ceramic-based lower sub-layer (88) which is overlaid with ancarbon-based upper sub-layer (90). This thermal recordingnsystem improves the wear resistance and electricalninsulation of the protective layer on the thermal head sonmarkedly that high operational reliability is insured fornan extended period of time. |
