Aqueous liquid photoimageable compositions which are present as stable emulsions are disclosed which contain (a) a partially neutralized acid-containing polymer formed from a precursor polymer having an acid number from 90 to 160 prior to neutralization and wherein 1 to 15% of acid-containing groups of the precursor polymer are neutralized with base, (b) an ethylenically unsaturated monomer, (c) a photoinitator or photoinitiating system and (d) water. The liquid composition has a Brookfield viscosity at 25°C from 10 to 2000 centipoise and a solids content from 25 to 60 weight percent. A photoimageable dry film is formed by drying to remove water and, if present, organic solvent. |
